This mini-album features Tantalus 23 years ago in 1998 with a line-up that lasted less than one year. 5 Songs and one atmospheric Reprise were all recorded on an early mobile Roland digital recorder in early '98 in various locations around the UK. This recording was never released as the band had moved onto the Jubal line-up with Rob Leek on vocals just a few months after these sessions. The recordings feature David Daley on lead vocals and new members Marc Barucha & Craig Allen on drums & bass respectively. When you Turn, Neon City, Nightflight and Footprints were re-recorded by the Jubal line-up and feature on the Jubal album along with Dance Me a Song and Gasp which were also co-written by David Daley during his short but highly productive time with the band.

This line-up performed a few UK shows in 1998, including a support set for the Classic Rock Society, Rotherham Rocks festival.

These recordings offer an insight into the massive sound of this line-up of Tantalus.

Tantalus were formed in 1993 by Max Hunt & Rupert Wilder in southern England, producing their first album as a duo that year. The band produced a total of 5 albums between 1993 and 2002 (Smoking Angels, Short Stories, Jubal, Lumen Et Caligo 1 & 2) and toured the UK and Europe ending as a 5 piece band in 2006.
